"All those old enough to catch their own prey gather under the Desertstone for a clan meeting!" Shimmerstar yowled as she perched herself."A new cat has come to join us! She shall serve as our deputy! Please welcome Wishingpool!" The clan cheered wildly, but Shimmerstar could tell that Wishingpool's attention was stolen by Blizzardwave.

Once the noise died down, Shimmerstar smiled."That will be all. Meeting dismissed!"

Shimmerstar purred from the Desertstone. It may be going slowly, but at least cats were joining. Soon, Burstclan would be strong again. She waited a bit, not wanting to ruin the peace of camp, but she needed to announce more cats."All those old enough to catch their own prey gather under the Desertstone for a clan meeting!" Shimmerstar called, her voice full of power.

The clan gathered obediently, gazing up at her happily. Three cats to in front of them, their heads held high."We have three new joiners today. Please welcome Brightclaw and Silverheart, new warriors." The clan cheered for the cats and patted their backs with their tails."We also have a new apprentice. Ashpaw, please step forward."

The small gray tom did as she said and took two steps closer."Do you promise to learn the ways of the warrior and protect the clan, even at the cost of your life?" Ashpaw nodded proudly, puffing his chest out."Then before the power of Starclan, I make you an apprentice of Burstclan. I would life your mentor to be Blizzardwave." She smiled and looked to both toms as they toched noses."That is all! Meeting dismissed!"

Shimmerstar slipped out of her den and yawned. It was another beautiful morning that held promise. She quickly padded to the Desertstone, a rock jutting off of the mesa her den was on. She let the new-leaf sun soak into her fur, glad that leaf-bare was finally over."All all those old enough to catch their own prey gather under the Desertstone for a clan meeting!" She yowled loudly, making sure to wake the few cats.

Once the tired cats had assembled, Shimmerstar continued."As you all know, new-leaf is among us. I know that Leaf-bare doesn't have as much affect on us then it does the other clans, but it is still the hardest time we have." They nodded briefly, not moving their eyes from Shimmerstar."We also have two new cats joining us! Please welcome Thistleclaw!" The few cats cheered for the brown tabby tom who would be taking place as Head Warrior."The other joining us will be our first apprentice. By naming apprentices, we show that Burstclan is strong." She focused her intense blue gaze on Darkpaw, a small black tom."Darkpaw, do you promise to learn the ways of the warrior code, and defend your clan?"

Darkpaw nodded, shifting back and forth on his paws. Shimmerstar smiled and sat up straight."Then by the power of Starclan, I grant you an apprentice of Burstclan. Your mentor shall be Flamewave." She looked at the ginger tom as he and his new apprentice touched noses."That is all, clan dismissed!" Shimmerstar leaped down to retrieve her breakfast.
